Above is a tip for a Chevrolet Vortec engine - timing
chain cover replacement is necessary on your new
engine.
NOTE:
Throughout the years, there's been some changes
to the timing cover design on the Chevrolet Vortec
engines. They include the height shown in A & B,
and the provision for a crank position sensor shown
in C & D. Please note these plastic timing covers
require replacement once removed.
