Canada Engines High Performance Chevy Crate Engine Installation
Canada Engines did this custom GMC 3/4 ton van engine installation. In this case the customer wanted a GM Performance Products ZZ383 stroker crate engine put in to replace his tired 350ci with 4 bolt mains. The new engine features fast burn aluminum racing heads, rollerized valve train, high compression and a whopping 425HP with 460 ft/lbs of torque right out of the box. Even with the high compression forged pistons, this full size work van/ recreational van still runs on 89 octane or higher pump gas.

Some of the modifications included converting the TBI to a nice new Holley 770CFM carburator and a high performance Edlebrock intake manifold. Custom work was also done to regulate fuel pressure from the original electric fuel pump designed for fuel injection.

This van also features a full roll cage, racing harnesses and a new GM Performance Parts 4L85E Supermatic 4 speed transmission (oversize planetary's and laptop programmable). This is the same tranny that goes behind the 572 cid crate engines.
